A.           What is PRESENT TENSE?

Present Tense is once of a tenses that is used to refer to the present.

PRESENT TENSE = WAKTU SEKARANG

             Common times in Present Tense:

B.            When to Use Present Tense?

The present tense is used to describe events that are scheduled.
Something that is true in the present.
        Something that is always true.
Something that is fixed in the future.
Used to describe actions that are factual or habitual.

C.           Example of Present Tense

 Subjek + Infinitive

        I usually sit here.
You work at the office every day.
        They seldom go to school.
The sun rises in the east.
        You work hard every day.
        She loves her country.
The sun sets in the west.
        Kendall usually relaxes after dinner.
        We often sings in English.

If we see deeply these examples, there are verb plus –s and –es in just subject she, he, it. Why? Because, verb with the last alphabet o, sh, ch, s, x, z, dan y should put –es, except that we just put –s.

Example:
        Go + es = goes
        Wash + es = washes
        Miss + es = misses
        Relax + es = relaxes
        Buzz + es = buzzes
        Study + es = studies
        Try + es = tries

*Note:
Bila kata kerja berakhiran huruf –y didahului huruf mati, maka –y harus lebih dahulu diganti dengan i sebelum ditambah –es; tetapi bila hurus –y didahului huruf hidup, maka hanya menambah –s saja:
buy  +  s  =  buys
  play  +  s  =  plays
